In the years gone by Deepavali eats and treats consisted of the various mitais, and there was no biscuits on the “Deepavali” menu, however today many households prepare a variety of delicate biscuits that can be decorated with edible glitter and the likes. This recipe is my tried and tested recipe that is always modified, or new flavourants are added ot it is made in a variety of shapes
Butter Biscuits
250g butter
188ml icing sugar
125ml maziena
500ml flour (approximate)
Method
- Beat butter and icing sugar, till light and fluffy
- Add sifted flour and maziena to form a fairly soft and smooth dough
- Press through nozzle, decorate and shape as desired
- Bake at 180 for about 15minutes
- These biscuits can be adapted and decorated as per your desire.
